What would happen if straight people were bullied for their sexuality?
This short film documents this question in a new perspective.
A young girl named Ashley lives in a world where homosexuality is the social norm. After reaching high school, Ashley learns that she is heterosexual and is constantly bullied by her friends at the time. Meanwhile, her parents, reflecting the classic religious American family, are having mixed feelings for the young girl.
The film does a great representation of homophobia and how it impacts the psychological integrity of a young girl. For some of the gay people out there, this might hit home. However, I can surely say that the straight people have no idea how it feels to be bullied for something they can’t control.
This is such a powerful short film. I watched it only out of pure curiosity and it is one of the most heart-wrenching thing ever. I strongly urge everyone, regardless of sexuality or beliefs, to watch it.
The short film attacks the idea how society is causing children and adults alike to fall apart.
I’m crying so hard right now.
